There's a reason European vehicle owners seek out specialists — these vehicles are engineered differently, have unique diagnostic protocols, and have specific known issues that require specialized knowledge. A shop that services all makes may not have the equipment or expertise to properly diagnose and repair a European vehicle. At Tony's Foreign Cars, European vehicles are our specialty, not an afterthought. Our ASE-certified technicians hold certifications in electrical systems, engine repair, and brakes, with specialized training in Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, and other European makes. We invest in factory-grade diagnostic equipment and continuous training to stay current with the latest technology.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions our customers ask most
Q.What does ASE-certified mean?
A.ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification means our technicians have passed rigorous testing and have at least 2 years of experience in their specialty. Our technicians hold certifications in electrical systems, engine repair, brakes, and more. ASE certification is the industry standard for technician competence — and we require it for our European vehicle specialists.
Q.Why do I need a European car specialist?
A.European vehicles have unique engineering, diagnostic protocols, and known issues that require specialized equipment and training. A shop without factory-grade diagnostic equipment can't read manufacturer-specific codes, can't code modules, and may misdiagnose common European vehicle issues. We've invested in the equipment and training to service European vehicles properly — it's our specialty, not a side service.
Q.Do you work on all European makes?
A.Yes. We service Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Infiniti, Volvo, Cadillac, Tesla, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo. We also service other fine imports. If you have a European or luxury vehicle not listed, contact us — we likely service it or can recommend a specialist.
Q.Do you work on classic European cars?
A.Yes. We've been servicing European vehicles since 1971 and have deep experience with classic models — air-cooled Porsches, classic Mercedes, vintage BMWs, and more. Our technicians understand both older mechanical systems and modern electronic systems, and we have the experience to keep classics on the road.
Q.How do you stay current with new European vehicle technology?
A.Our technicians participate in continuous training through ASE, I-CAR, and manufacturer-specific training programs. We invest in new diagnostic equipment as new models are released, and we have access to OEM technical service information. We also learn from every vehicle we service — 50+ years of experience means we've seen and solved a lot of problems.
Q.Can you service my vehicle under warranty?
A.Yes. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, independent shops can perform maintenance and repairs without affecting your factory warranty, as long as we use OEM parts and follow factory procedures. We provide documented service records for warranty compliance. You do not have to return to the dealership for service.
